Big day for us! On the eve of the Feast Day we have a small ceremony in our chapel with a homely gathering of Friars, O.S.F. Members friends and benefactors and anyone who wishes to attend remembering with devotion the passing of St. Clare, from this life to the next. With illness as some get a bit older and the hassles of life sneak in, even to our relatively protected cloister – it is good to be reminded that St. Clare too shared these difficulties but could still life to the full. Celebrating Clare helps us to face the challenge ourselves ‘that life is played out in everyday relationships, in daily situations, in ordinary circumstances.
